Christmas Countdown #2

This is my Christmas raping paper I did the Kiwiana theme I think I did really good with all the animals.  And I have never made something like this on google drawings I tried to make it exactly like the animal that I was doing.  This is my second activity so far because I tried to put all the detail in it.

                                    Christmas countdown 

Once in a land so far away there was an elf and his name was Buddy and he lived in England but every day he got on a train and he went to his little workshop.  When he finally reached his workshop he had to work hard for Christmas but luckily he had heaps of little helpers to help him get ready for Christmas. Many years later he had children a boy and a girl so he had to take time off to look after his children.  But at the workshop, everything was going a bit crazy because Buddy wasn’t there to keep them in order. So the little helpers had to call Buddy because the presents were not going to be ready for Christmas in time so they called Buddy. Buddy said that he is going to be right over but something happened to the railway so he was going to be a bit late.  On the train, there were some people going to a Christmas party so there was a man dressed up like a Christmas tree and he was dancing and singing. And that made Buddy feel better so he got off the train and he went home to get his sleigh and his dog to pull him to the workshop. The dog was a bit slow but it got him there in time Buddy got out his notes and his pen and he got them in place in no time. But somebody forgot to wake up Santa so there was no one to deliver the presents.  So this was Buddy's big moment to deliver the presents he knows how to because he went with Santa every year but he didn’t know how to do it by himself. Okay okay, listen up I am going to deliver the presents said, Buddy. But someone needs to come with me to help me with the list. “I will Buddy”. Okay, you can come but you are going to stay up all night and you are going to have to read the list of all the children of the world. So they got the reindeer ready and they set off on Dasher on Dancer on Comet ect Buddy was really scared because he never flu the reindeer by himself before.  Soon they were halfway around the world and Buddy was really tired by now but he had to keep going because the children of the world were relying on him. Yay Buddy had one more house to go to then back to the north pole but Buddy realized that it was his children's house he had to go to. Buddy felt really bad because he missed out on the fest and his family was really excited about it and his mum came and his dad and his whole family came. Buddy reached his house and he went down the chimney and he went up to his kid’s rooms and they were fast asleep so he put presents in the stocking and he went back up the chimney and flu back to the north pole.  All the elves were waiting for the good news and Buddy got off the sleigh and said it was a successful Christmas. Santa came out and said to Buddy I am so sorry you couldn’t spend time with your family this Christmas thank you so much you saved Christmas. So Buddy returned home to his kids and his family and his kids were opening up there presents but Buddy was really happy that his kids got something for Christmas.

Ruin for Bush survival.

This is the avatar I made for the character in the clip.  I did his long hair and his big noes and his green eyes.  Madeleine and me watched the clip together it was really interesting.  I had to make up an avatar of him because we didn't see his whole body so we guested what he looked like so this was the man that was running away from this big ship and his hand had blue lights glowing on it.

This was the avatar I made of the pilot we didn't see him in the clip but we made a avatar of him anyway.  He is a really crazy flyer and he tried to kill the man that was running away from him on his bike.  The man on his bike killed him and broke the ship and the pilot wanted the blue lights on the man that was running away.

This is my survival backpack it was really fun to make we had to pack thing that we would need if we walked in the bush.

Fab finish term 4

This is my Character modal it was really fun it was for our book Ghost and I did Ghost.  I put flaps on ghost and it was really hard because I didn't know what to put under the flaps.  But I did put a gun, sunflower seeds and Coach Brody 's card that is what I put under the T-Shirt.  And I put the price tag for the running shoes in the pants flap and under the head I put the word running.  So that was my fab finish.

Bush Survival

What is the S.T.O.P acronym for survival?

S is for stop as sone as you realise now one is around you.
T is for think about the situation.
O is to look at the surroundings.
p is for planning of what to do like come up with how to make a shelter.


How to find clean water?

• When you go hiking in the bush make sure you bring a filter just in case there is now clean water.
• When it ran's maybe you could bring a bucket for the ran to go into so you have clean water.
• make sure the river our the stream you are drinking from is clean.  

How to build a shelter?

• To build a shelter you need flat and dry ground.
• Make sure you build your shelter away form a river our a stream.
• Make sure you use the right knot to tie the string our what ever you found.

How to make a fire in the bush.

• To build a fire you will need dry wood because wet wood will not light.
• A fire is really good for signalling people because of the smoke
• If the fire gets out of control then it is good to have some dirt our water there to stop a bush fire from happening.

 Basic First Aid.

• It is really good to bring bandage's and plasters for when someone gets hurt.
• Before you go into the bush you could ask your Dad our Mum about first aid and how to rap a bandage.
• If you are a kid out there and your Dad is hurt our your Mum is hurt don't be afraid to help them because they are relying on you to help.

Signalling for help.

• You could use fire and smoke to signal people.
• Write Help in stones in a clear area.
• Call for help if you have a phone.

 

Our last rotation of shelter building

This week was our last week of doing our shelter building rotations.  Our shelter was really hard to put up but it was fun and it was testing our teamwork.  The hardest thing would have been using our space well the easiest thing would have been putting our tarp onto our shelter because we just got some rocks and we put them on the corners.  Our shelter was really good it could stop the ran and it could stop the wind getting through I rate our work a five out of five because we worked really hard and it brought us really close together.

  

Week five term 4

This is my second Chapter Chat for this week.  We got to do two and we got to do whatever we wanted to do.  So what I did for my task is the Cration station I did the one were you have to make a metal and the research about shoes.  We also got to go back to the other week and chose two it was really fun.

Sneaker Brands  

This week for Chapter Chat I did the sneaker brands it was really fun learning about the different brands.  And I learned stuff that I didn't know before

This is our first week for our tent building and it is really fun so far

You need a tent to protect you from: Mosquitoes, Bees

Where is the best place to build a shelter:  not by the river because it could overflow and it will wet you.  So I would build it in the bush somewhere close to the river but not to close because you need water to survive.

What materials you would need to build a shelter: In a jungle, you would need some tree branches and some leaves and some flax that’s what I would use.

Some pros of sleeping in a bush shelter are that you will stay dry and safe from poisonous spiders and things like that.  And a con is that you will get dirty and the mosquitoes might get you and the ground will be hard.

Week 3 Chapter Chat

This is my week 3 Chapter Chat I did A way with words it was really fun.  I had two days of doing this because I was a calf club and I and going to Australia after so I had to rush a bit.  But I think I did a good job.  was had to do a poem for a way with word

This is a Clove Hitch Knot my rating for this knot is a five out of five it took me a long time to master this but it was fun to learn.  you could use this knot if you went on holiday and you forgot your washing line it would be handy

My rating for this knot is a three out of five it took me a while to master this knot but I did it.  I know the easy way of doing it and the hard way of doing it.  you could use this knot to tie your boat to something.  it is strong both way's 

Figure Eight Knot.

Figure Eight Knot

This is a Figure Eight Knot it can be used as a stopper knot if you wanted to make a 
necklace.  The figure-eight follow-through is one of the strongest knots.  I can do this knot with my eyes closed and I can do it really fast.  The difficulty rating for me would be a one out of five I really like this knot because it is really simple.

Calf Club

This is me and my animal at Calf club we did really good we got a red ribbon, two yellows and a blue. 

This is me and my animal lining up.  The wether at Calf Club was really bad so we had to were our raincoats and pants.  On the day we had to wake up really early to get them ready so I was really tired when I got home.

This is me and Lily we helped each other get ready for rearing and handling it was really fun and we had to try and keep them out of the rain and the mud.  Rearing and handling is where you clean up your lamb and make it all nice and pretty.  And you also have to tell the judges about your lamb and stuff.

   This is me and my lamb Molly walking out of the ring when we won 3rd place.  I am really proud of Molly because she tried her best.

At Claf Club it was the 70th year of doing it so someone made a cake for it it was really yummy and I liked the little cows and sheep on it so I hope you like my presentation of me and my lamb doing Claf Club.

 

Week 2 Chapter Chat

This is my week 2 CC it was really fun I did the one were you have to draw the shoe that Ghost stole.  And his old shoe it was hard to make his old shoe all broken.  And it was hard doing all the details on the shoe that he stole but I enjoyed doing it anyway.

 

Whetu's Calendar Art 2019

For 2019 Calendar art I did chose the scene group with Mrs Kennedy.  There were a lot of options and they were all really cool Mrs Heven took a group and they were doing paper collage.  And Miss Sawden took a group to do Zentangeling for my sence I did an underwater one it was really fun.

  

Week 1 Chapter Chat Research Centre

This is my week one Chapter Chat it was so my fun I did the world records it was fun looking at all the different world records.  My favourite world record would be the one with all the piercings I didn't know that you could have that many piercings.

Blog Challenge

I went on an amazing adventure up a snowy hill on my holiday break.  Together with My Auntie Tanya, Grosspappie, Grossmumie and my brother Kian we went on a snowy adventure.

With our ski's and our poles, we marched up the snowy hill.  When we got to the top we went straight to the chair lift. And when we reached the top we go on our ski's and then we started down the hill.

When we reached the bottom we just wanted to go and go again it was so much fun.  My Auntie Tanya gave me some lessons and I improved a lot.

My Grossmumie didn't ski because she has got a metal knee ad she finds it hard to ski.  But my Grosspapie can ski he is really fast and I try to keep up with him.  My Auntie is in a ski club and she is really good.

The reason why we went to the snow without our parents is that we went to go and stay at there house for a whole week and that is the whole reason why we went to stay is to go to the snow and spend time with them.

It was really fun spending time with them because we could see our family that live in Whakatane.  We 
had to leave at 4:00 in the morning but we got to sleep in the car and it was so nice and sunny when we got there.

Last time I went I nearly skied off a cliff but this time I made it.  Me and my brother for the first time we went on the T bar and we didn't fall off.  My mum said that it was really hard so we didn't do it so she was really surprised when she watched a video of us going up the T bar.

So that was my holiday at the snow.




     

  

Fabulous Finish week 9

This week I did a fabulous finish on Zero and I did more about me it was really fun making it and I think that I really made it pop with all those colours.  We watched the movie witch also help me a lot with the things he likes and his personality I wonted to do Zero because he is fun and he has a lot of info.  what I did not enjoy was nothing it was all really fun.

Week five Chapter Chat

This week I did vocab it was really fun I worked with Bella she was really fun to work with.  The challenging bit was understanding the words that took us some time but we got there in the end.  The fun bit was colouring it in this was the first week I have ever worked with a buddy it was really fun.

 

Week 4 Chapter Chat

This week I did Digital Design it was really fun playing around with things.  The thing that I really enjoyed was making the avatar.  The thing that I found hard was the little stuff it was hard to make them like the Ruby and the Gold and the money and the lipstick.  But it was fun.

This week I did the family tree.  It was really hard because I did not know half of my family on my dad's side.  So I had to go home and get dad to tell me how much brothers and sisters he has.  But other than that it was really fun!!!!!! I love learning about my family.

This is my week two chapter chat I did the letter what Stanley writ to has mum at Camp Green Lake.  He lied in his letter and he said that he is doing swimming lessons and he said he is going to become a world champion water skier.  we had to tell the truth in the letter like how he would have really said it.  It was really fun I like the emoji because he has the blisters.

This is the flower that I made with Lola we had a lot of fun the project is for our new book fish in a tree I am really enjoying the book.  the favourite part of making it was the flower I liked folding them.

My holiday.

In the holiday's My new house was being built.  It was really interesting watching them doing it in stages.  On the second week of the holiday's, I went to my friend's house we went eling.  It was fun because we took the kayak.  We went to the beach it was fun.  We had a birthday party at my friends it was really fun a little pug came to the party it was so cute!!!!! When we came back from my friend's house we had an easter egg hunt it was fun I got heaps of egg's!!!!!!!! Anyway, that was my holiday!!
